Sue opened her insurance agency in Spirit Valley in May 1991 and has had the same location on Grand Avenue ever since. She fell in love with Lake Superior when she moved here to get her college degree. Sue lives in the Morgan Park area with her husband, where they raised three children.
Deede has strong family ties to West Duluth and the river corridor, dating back to her great-grandparents. Deede is a long time Denfeld area homeowner. She has been an active volunteer in and for West Duluth for over 20 years as a neighborhood coalition representative; West Duluth representative to the City of Duluth’s Community Development Committee; and the Duluth cross city trail stakeholder task force.
Angelo works with the Spirit Valley Youth Center and has done so for over thirty-three years. He is married with two children and one grandchild. He loves his job and the kids in the community he serves. He also runs the Duluth Table Tennis Club.
Brenda opened her law practice in West Duluth in 2007 and thus became involved in West Duluth’s business and civic community. Brenda has been a board member for several years and was the club’s previous treasurer. As a club board member, she has focused her efforts on developing local business collegiality and bringing entrepreneurs and new businesses to the area.
Charlie is a lifetime West Duluth resident and long-time business owner. He currently manages the City of Duluth’s Indian Point Campground and is the owner of the Spirit Lake Marina. Charlie is past-president of the West Duluth Business Club and continues to be an active board member, serving on the committee fostering business development and entrepreneurship.
Karin is a lifetime West Duluth resident with a history of community participation. She is also a board member of the Morgan Park Community Club; a member of the mayor’s parking commission; board member for Honor Flight Northland; and she is on the Denfeld Alumni board. In the past she has been active in planning the annual Spirit Valley Days and helps with the foster grandparent program at Laura MacArthur Elementary School.
Bill has a lifelong history of active involvement in the West Duluth Business community, having previously worked in the area for most of his life. Now retired, he continues his involvement with the Club by serving on the business development and entrepreneurship committee and spearheads other community projects.
Jeanne is a life-time West Duluth resident. She is currently the president of the Irving Recreation and Events Assn, Inc.; board member of the Riverfront Corridor Coalition; former local business owner; and past president of WABCC (West Duluth Business Club).
Andy was born and raised in Duluth and went to school at Johnson & Wales University for business management. Andy loves his community and has showed his commitment by donating time, funds, plants, and supplies to the area schools and community organizations. He has a passion for growing and is an expert organic gardener, specializing in hydroponics.
